Responsibilities and challenges

You will be part of a dedicated local marine team of colleagues whose competencies spends from coastal to marine engineering (waves, currents, sediment transport and water quality) with a specific focus on numerical modeling. Also you will work closely with a global team solving challenges all other water environments (fresh waters, groundwaters, urban, etc.).

The main responsibilities and challenges in the job are: 

• Coastal protections studies 
• Metocean analysis 
• Marine data collection and analysis
• Setup and calibration of numerical models
• Setup and maintenance of Decision Support Systems
• Project management
• Advise clients through specific domain expertise in coastal, ports and marine engineering

Qualifications and personal skills 

We are looking for a young new colleague who will join us on our quest in solving the world’s water problems and have the following qualifications: 

• Fluent Italian and English is mandatory
• Education within coastal and marine engineering
• Some working experience within coastal and marine engineering will be highly appreciated
• Experience in numerical modelling as in marine data processing will be an advantage
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
• It will be an advantage to have competences in Matlab, Python and programming languages

Office location

Primarily Genoa, Italy. Smart working and flexibility agreements can be defined.
