Laboratory Technician - Biology and Ecotoxicology

Responsibilities and challenges

You will be part of a dedicated team of 18 colleagues including laboratory technicians and biologists. The main fields of activities include performance evaluation of maritime technologies, biological analyses and ecotoxicological studies.

The responsibilities and challenges in the job are:

  • Performing biodegradability analysis
  • Performing ecotoxicological studies with aquatic organisms
  • Biological analyses of living microalgae and zooplankton
  • Calculations and reporting of data generated in the laboratory
  • Adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Flexibility to work late and weekends periodically when required
  • Maintaining the laboratory, including calibration of equipment, chemical supplies, and consumable inventory

Qualifications and personal skills

We are looking for a new colleague who should have the following qualifications:

  • Education as laboratory technician (laborant)
  • Relevant practical experience with ecotoxicological or biological laboratory work is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Basic knowledge of calculation spreadsheets (e.g., Excel)
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Advantage if able to understand and speak Danish, but not a requirement
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team

  • Hørsholm, Denmark - 25 km north of Copenhagen.
