Marine Biologist

We experience increasing interest in our services to secure that Polish offshore windfarms are developed in the respect of marine mammals and marine ecosystems. The need to decarbonize our energy sources has fast-tracked the development of offshore wind across the Baltic Sea. Our role is to help ensuring that this transition is conducted in respect of the marine environment so that this delicate ecosystem can thrive in the future.

Polish regulations require developers to assess and when needed mitigate the impacts of the construction and operation of planned windfarms. This is done through an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), which often identify marine species and areas of concern and assess how planned activities may cause negative impacts. Developers will often have to monitor and demonstrate that their activities are conducted in respect of EIA outcomes and permits granted.
