Senior Software Developer - Backend

We are looking for a senior backend developer in Hørsholm, Denmark or in Gdynia, Poland, to help develop the application of the MUSE Software - DHI’s integrated offshore wind bird- and bat-monitoring and decision-support system, serving wind farms across the world.

Responsibilities and challenges

You will work on designing and delivering the MUSE application and making a difference for endangered birds across the world.

You will be a part of a friendly and diverse team located both in Hørsholm and across Europe. Everyone is passionate about the product and striving to provide our clients with outstanding technical advice and customer service.

The main responsibilities and challenges in the job are:

• Design, develop the software application (full stack, mainly backend but there are minor frontend work)
• Contribute to architecture and technical design of the solution
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, stability and functional issues
• Collaborate closely with local and international colleagues across disciplines spanning Software, infrastructure, hardware and scientific
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing

Qualifications and personal skills 

We are looking for a generalist software developer with a “can do” attitude.

We expect the following qualifications:

• Bachelor or master degree within computer science or similar
• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in backend development 
• Full- stack development skills
• Strong expertise in C# with .NET Core
• Experience with, or strong desire to learn:
  • Sensor networks
  • Streaming architecture
  • Event-based programming
  • Microservices
  • Agile/Scrum work practice
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken) 
   

Nice to have experience with:

• Network
• Cybersecurity
• SQL Databases
• AI computer vision
• Camera / hardware integration experience 
• Control systems fundamentals - PID
