Purpose of the role
As a Team Leader for the Polish Water Resources team, you will lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring successful project delivery while fostering collaboration across DHI’s segments and especially with the Head of Department Water Resources Poland. You will contribute to driving the department’s strategy and growth, focusing on delivering high-quality services and expanding business opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Operational Planning and Coordination: Lead and manage team resources effectively, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality projects, managing project risks while maintaining close collaboration with other DHI segments.
- Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and mentorship related to the professional growth of each team member to ensure the team stays at the forefront of technical expertise in water resources.
- Project Management and Execution: Manage key projects in the Water Resources segment, including technical delivery and client communication. Ensure the successful execution of projects, including management of project timelines, staffing, and budgets.
- Business Development and Key Account Management: Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders in Poland and beyond. Identify new business opportunities and support cross-border projects. Prepare technical proposals and tender documentation.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- A master’s degree in environmental engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in project management within the water resources sector is required
- Proven experience in managing teams and fostering collaboration.
- Preferably experience in hydraulic and hydrological modelling of inland waters.
- Preferably experience in working with clients outside Poland, particularly in cross-border projects.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) and Polish as daily working language.
- Preferably knowledge of the Polish water management sector and EU regulations (e.g., Flood Directive, Water Framework Directive)

Location & Mobility
The role location has a specific base in DHI offices either in Kraków or in Rzeszow. The role includes travelling for client visits, team meetings and eventually to DHI A/S in Denmark.
Working time: Full position (40 hours working time per week)
