Responsibilities and challenges
You will be part of a friendly and diverse team, dedicated to delivering outstanding technical advice and service to our clients. Our work is collaborative and supported by a global network of experts across DHI offices worldwide.
The main responsibilities and challenges in the job are:
- Conducting field monitoring and office-based analysis to support complex solution development for urban water challenges in order to capture and define solutions for the real challenges of our client
- Collaborating with a global team of professionals and scientists across DHI’s international network
- Supporting day-to-day problem-solving in urban water systems through engagement and communication with local water stakeholders
- Contributing to reduce water-related risks and losses for both society and the environment through applied innovations
- Wise handling the complex data collection process, pre- and post processing in cooperation with other colleagues and also performing analysis
- Contributing to the development of models and engineering solutions for water infrastructure systems (Solve the tasks of designing and building infrastructure models, calibration and validating the models based on historical datasets)
- Preparation of project reports and presentations
Qualifications and personal skills
We are looking for a new colleague passionate about solving the world’s water challenges and who meets the following qualifications:
Professional qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience after graduation in mechanical engineering /mechatronics/ infrastructure engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in Python is required; knowledge of other programming languages is an advantage
- Knowledge of process engineering and fluid mechanics is beneficial
- Experience with C#, SQL, or any frontend language is a plus
- Driving license (B category)
- Experience with GIS and/or CAD systems is an asset
Language skills
- Native or fluent in Hungarian (spoken and written)
- Good command of English, as daily work requires communication in both languages
- Knowledge of French or German is a plus
- Team player
