Network Specialist
Be a part of Core IT & Applications that consist of colleagues all over the world. You will be reporting to Director, Core IT & Applications who is in Denmark together with the majority of the infrastructure team. The team’s strategy is to simplify, secure, automate and optimize what we do and how we do it.
Purpose of role
Responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our enterprise network infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our network systems across multiple locations.
Key responsibilities and challenges
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and ensure network requirements are met.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Perform regular network assessments and capacity planning.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network efficiency and security.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior network staff and other IT team members.
Qualifications and personal skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls, Cisco Meraki, Cisco Nexus.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).
- Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent is highly desirable
- English
- Understanding and respect for different cultures is a must

Office location
- The role location has a specific base.
- The role includes travelling, estimated 20 travelling days per year.
