Purpose of role
Responsible for the Development, Maintenance, Administration, and Operations of Systems supporting DHI’s projects in Singapore and APAC
Key performance metrics
Key performance metrics include:
- Successful end-to-end delivery of new features for Operational Systems
- Continuous system and feature availability of Operational Systems
- Meeting SLA metrics for internal stakeholders (primarily M&C)
Key stakeholders
The key stakeholders are the Development / Operations team in “Software Projects”, as well as Project Managers and Leaders in M&C Singapore.
Key responsibilities
The candidate will be able to acquire a deep understanding of DHI’s operational systems, enabling him / her to contribute successfully to
- Development and maintenance of features
- Monitoring system health, IoT data stream and data processing tasks
- Infrastructure maintenance both on prem servers and cloud services
- Performing essential operational tasks, including data acquisition, automating data processing, running simulations
- Documentation for security, policies, procedures and incidents
- Reporting
The candidate will support the Development / Operations team to ensure that mission-critical systems overall are performing as expected. The role aims at ensuring the overall fitness-for purpose and continuous availability of the Operational Systems, primarily supporting Marine & Coast business out of Singapore. The Operational systems are mission-critical to this business.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Education:
- BSc or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Experience:
- 3-5 Years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities – e.g. as developer, systems engineer and/or IT operations specialist
Mandatory Skills:
- Extensive experience in developing back-end and desktop software using C#/.NET.
- Proven expertise with database technology and SQL.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including Networking and MS Azure
- Good experience in operating and managing applications in Microsoft Windows environments / Windows servers.
- Good concepts of System disaster recovery (setup, configure and maintenance).
Desirable skills:
- Other programming languages like Python, C++, Visual Basic.
- Knowledge of other OS such as Linux/Ubuntu.
- Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic simulation models or other types of mathematical modelling systems
- Experience with MIKE Powered by DHI software is highly advantageous Solid knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
- Familiarity with Internet of Things (IoT) technology.

Location & Mobility
The role is based in our Jakarta, Indonesia office with regular travel to Singapore for meetings
